We stand behind every chimney we touch in Olympia. Since 2009, we’ve inspected and cleaned more than 38,000 chimneys, and each one left with a written price agreed before we started and a documented photo record of what we found. What’s Covered

• Workmanship on every repair, sweep, and rebuild. If a joint we sealed leaks, a liner we installed shifts, or a crown we patched fails within a year of our work, we come back and fix it under our 365-Day Done Right Promise. This covers chimney cleaning and sweep, chimney repair, fireplace services, chimney cap and crown work, and chimney liner installation and full rebuild.
• Parts and materials from named suppliers. We source flue liners from DuraFlex, refractory coatings from HeatShield, caps from Gelco, and additional materials through Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield. If a factory defect shows up, we handle the warranty exchange. You don’t chase the manufacturer.
• Your home left as we found it, minus the creosote. We lay drop cloths, run HEPA vacuums, and bag debris before we carry it out. Clause 1 of the Haven Standard, “Have it in writing,” includes the scope of protection for your floors, furniture, and landscaping.
• On-time arrival with a named technician. You’ll know who’s coming, when they’re on the way via text, and that they’ve passed a background check. Our “Arrive on schedule” and “Verified crews” commitments aren’t marketing. They’re how we avoid wasting your afternoon.
• Honest pricing with zero bait-and-switch. Written price, written scope, written warranty delivered before anyone starts. Not after the tech is already in your living room. Haven Standard Clause 1 again. We’ve turned down jobs where the homeowner wanted us to “just take a look first.” The price comes first. Always.

Our Satisfaction Promise

If you’re not satisfied, we want to know while we’re still on your property, not from a one-star review three weeks later. Tell the technician. They’ll call it in. Corrine or a supervisor will review the photo record from Clause 4, walk through what happened, and decide the fix. Sometimes it’s a missed spot in the smoke chamber we can address immediately. Sometimes it’s a misunderstanding about what the flue liner condition means for your burning habits. We explain, we correct, and we document the resolution with new photos.

If we can’t make it right on the spot, we schedule a return visit at no charge. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers labor and materials for that callback. We’ve honored this on chimney sweeps in the Queensborough area where the homeowner spotted ash residue we missed, and on a liner inspection in Westside Olympia where the camera angle didn’t show the full crack pattern. In both cases, the photo record let us verify the complaint and fix it without argument.

Licensed & Insured Backing

Licensing and insurance are the floor, not the ceiling, but most homeowners never ask to see them. We display ours. Our technicians are licensed, our operation carries insurance and bonding, and that paperwork is what lets us make the 365-Day Done Right Promise credible. An unlicensed sweep with no coverage can’t afford to come back twice. We can, and we do.

Insurance also protects you if a ladder punches a hole in your soffit or a tool cracks a roof tile. It happens rarely in Olympia’s mild climate, but the south Puget Sound wind can gust hard off Budd Inlet, and we’ve had equipment shift on steep pitches in the Boston Harbor area. Our coverage means you’re not filing your own claim or chasing a contractor who disappeared.

Bring us any competitor’s written estimate for chimney repair, liner replacement, or rebuild work. We’ll inspect with our camera, show you the footage, and tell you if their scope matches what we see. Sometimes it does, and we’ll say so. Sometimes they’re selling a full liner when a HeatShield resurfacing handles the spalling. Sometimes the crown crack is superficial, not structural. Our photo record under Clause 4 gives you evidence you can compare against their paperwork.

There’s no charge for this second opinion, and no obligation to hire us. We’ve done these for homeowners in Tumwater, Lacey, and right here in Olympia who just wanted to know if a $4,200 quote was justified. Often it is. Sometimes it’s not. We’ll show you the difference on camera.

What You’re Holding When We Leave

Every visit ends with documentation. Written scope of work performed. Written price you agreed to. Written warranty terms. Photo record of the flue interior, the crown condition, the smoke chamber profile, and any defects found. Camera footage from the NFPA 211 Level 2 inspection. If we took moisture readings or draft measurements, those numbers too. This isn’t an optional add-on. Haven Standard Clause 4 requires it, and we’ve done it since before the Haven Standard had a name.

Keep these records. They protect your warranty, document your chimney’s condition for your insurer, and give the next technician (even if it’s not us) a baseline for comparison. In Olympia’s wet winters, that history matters.
