• HeatShield Cerfractory Foam liner systems with cracked or spalling crowns. The foam liner shrinks and expands with every burn cycle, and that movement transfers stress to the crown above it. We see this especially on the older 2000-series jobs in the South Sound where the original crown was poured thin. We cut back to sound concrete, apply a bonded crown coat rated for the liner’s expansion profile, and reflash with a cap sized to the new crown dimensions.
• HeatShield UL 1777-listed caps with corroded mesh on salt-air exposures. The standard 304 stainless mesh holds up fine inland, but homes near Budd Inlet or along the Eld Inlet get pitting corrosion in the 18-month window. We stock 316 marine-grade mesh replacements through our Olympia Chimney supply line and can swap the mesh without replacing the full cap frame if the frame geometry is still true.
